Ways You Can Help

There are so many ways to support LVRC’s Alumni Association. Doing so not only helps our newest alumni, but it just might be a good thing for you too!

You are the secret ingredient.

Some of the best connections we make in life are with people who have had similar experiences.  We may come from different places and different times, but we have a commonality.  This shared experience is what makes the Las Vegas Recovery Center Alumni Association so great.  How do we strengthen our own recovery?  By giving back to those who have walked the same path as you.  Below you will find some of those ways.

Donations

The Scholarship Fund

Las Vegas Recovery Center receives hundreds of calls every year from people who need help but can’t afford it.  The scholarship fund has been established to provide funding to those who may not receive treatment otherwise.  If you or your family is in a position to donate, please do.  We will ensure any donations go to the right people.

General Fund

Like going to fun activities?  Consider making a donation to the General Fund.  A donation of any level helps the Alumni Association continue to put on new and interesting activities.

In Kind Donations

In Kind donations can come in many forms.  Material items that can be resold by the Alumni Association will go toward funding scholarships.

12-Step Contact

Role and Responsibility

A 12-Step Contact’s role is to meet with clients who may still be in treatment or those who are newly discharged.  Think back to when you were in treatment.  Did you have any idea of what life was going to be like once you went home?  Listen and provide your valuable insight and experience.  You might make a new friend in the process!

Eligibility

We want to ensure that the Alumni who are interested in being a 12-Step Contact have some stability in their own recovery.  With that being said, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • You must have interest in helping humanity
  • You are not a current staff member of Las Vegas Recovery Center
